Privacy policy
1.Who controls your data
CTY TNHH Go Finance Education (business registration 0317442008), at 12 Nguyễn Văn Bảo, Gò Vấp, Ho Chi Minh City, is the data controller. Privacy enquiries: privacy@gofinance.vn.
2.What we collect
Account data: name, email, phone, password hash, optional profile fields.
Programme data: course progress, assignments and capstone submissions, written feedback, attendance records, peer-review interactions.
Payment data: transaction records, order codes, billing information; full card numbers are tokenised by our PSP and never stored on our servers.
Technical data: IP address, browser, device, basic analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
3.Why we use it
To deliver the programme you bought (lectures, feedback, capstone review), to operate and secure the platform, to issue invoices and meet our tax obligations, to email you service messages (cohort schedule, payment confirmations, refunds) and the Journal if you opted in. We never use your data to train third-party AI models.
4.Who we share it with
Service providers acting on our behalf — payment processors, email delivery, hosting, monitoring. Each is bound by a data-processing agreement and may only use your data to provide their service to us. A current list of subprocessors is available on request.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We disclose only when required by Vietnamese law or by a lawful order from a competent authority.
5.Where it lives, and for how long
Production data is hosted in Singapore (AWS ap-southeast-1) with encrypted backups in a separate region. Account data is retained for as long as your account is active and for 24 months after closure for accounting and dispute-resolution purposes; financial records are retained for 10 years per Vietnamese tax law.
6.Your rights
You can request a copy of your personal data, correction of inaccuracies, deletion, or restriction of processing. Mail privacy@gofinance.vn with your account email and the request; we’ll reply within 30 days. You can close your account at any time from your account settings.
7.Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access to production data is limited to a small operations team and audited. We commission a third-party penetration test annually; the most recent report can be summarised for enterprise customers under NDA.
8.Children
The platform is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.
9.Changes
Material changes to this policy are emailed to registered users at least fourteen days before they take effect.
